Copying a team will transfer the team and its players to a new program, while leaving the original team and players in the existing program. When an admin selects to roll over a team, they will be able to indicate the team name, choose the program to copy in to, select the players that will be included in the copy, and select the coach/captain for the new team. The copy will enforce the existing membership and capacity rules for the new program.
This feature was built to help optimize the registration process for returning teams - especially for programs where the captain/coach pays the entire registration fee.
b. The registration form fields from the original program will not be copied into the new program. If you want your players (or parents) to fill out their registration form fields for the new season (assuming you do), the players will need to be directed to their dashboard where they can click on the registration settings link to enter the registration form fields. The link is standard (per program) and does not change based on user so you could send the direct link via the email tool.
